The response to my offer to share a taste of Malaysia has been, um, a bit tepid (awwww).
In the interest of pumping up the response volume a bit, let's say that repeat emails are allowed. That is, if you've already sent me a "10,000 hits" email, feel free to send another, and another, until this thing is wrapped up. But please limit yourself to one every 24 hours. And no need to include a message, unless you want to. I'll post when Number One Hundred is reached.
Many thanks to those of you who've emailed lovely words of flattery, praise, and encouragement. It's what'll keep me from hurling our frustratingly slow slide scanner against the wall!
Slide scanner - wow - that's committment. Wouldn't a digi/cameraphone be quicker? OK - that's a bit thick - I'll answer my own question. Yes, it would. You obviously have your reasons why you use slides. I'll shut up.

Well you know, Dave takes the photos and he's an old school guy. Believe me, the folks at the film processing shop LOVE us.

Hi Robyn - It's not that I didn't want a little taste of Malaysia - I really don't want you to go through all the trouble and postage. And it seems that you go through so much work - especially since you still use slides.

Hi Robyn. Tell Dave to try Applied Imaging in Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. They offer same day service with no extra charge as they process the slides themselves. They also provide scanning service. If Dave prefers to do the scanning himself, go get a dedicated negative/slide scanner like Nikon Coolscan. It will make his scanning experience less painful.
