We're flattered to have been nominated for a Well Fed Network Food Blog Award, again, this year. The category is Best Food Blog (City). We actually blog a region, but Kuala Lumpur is our home and, to date, the subject of the majority of our posts. Sincere thanks to the Well Fed judges.
If you've enjoyed our Kuala Lumpur posts hop on over to Well-Fed Network's site and clickety-click to vote for us. If you're new to the blog, have a look at a few of our favorite Kuala Lumpur posts: this one, this one, this one , this one, and this one. We get around a bit, and we've blogged other urban centers of Southeast Asia as well, including Manila, Bangkok, Padang (Sumatra, Indonesia), and, lately, a whole lot of Saigon (aka Ho Chi Minh City).
Done, with pleasure.

Love all the posts you have highlighted here. In fact, I first come across your blog and fell in love with it on "Sentul Surprise".
Will definitely vote for you!

And well-deserved, too! You've got my vote.

Voted and Well done guys! Still thinks that this blog should be added voted for Best Food Blog under Photography.

Thanks, all. Given the readerships of the other blogs nominated in our category, we haven't an ice cube's chance in he** of winning - but your votes and comments mean a lot.
Riz - well, I agree, but then I am biased! We were nominated for photography award last year but, if you have a look at the blogs of this year's photog nominees you'll find a preponderance (if not 100%) of styled (or high-end restaurant) shots. Perhaps an indication of the type of food photography this year's judges prefer, but it's not the sort of food photography Dave enjoys doing most, so we can't hope to compete there!

I learned about your blog while voting, and I'm glad I did--it's one of the best food-dedicated blogs I've read (and I read a lot). As for your comment above about food photography, I'm glad your photos are what they are. Spontaneous, passionate, and inspired, they show food in the context they should be shown in, especially for a blog of this type. And honestly, I find the writing very touching. Having never left the country (I have an appointment to get my passport this Sunday), I'm endeared to anything that shows me more of my Filipino parents' culture from before they came to the States. Best of luck to you both, from an enthusiastic new fan!

Thanks Julie - if the nomination has introduced EatingAsia to new readers, then that's reward enough for us. Really.
