Thai band Nyok rips it up at Chiang Mai's Heaven Beach
You can only eat so much. Believe it or not we have interests other than food.
Last March in Chiang Mai, if we weren't loving the local laab, supping on khao soi, or sampling the city's BEST grilled pork, we were probably checking out Chiang Mai's live music scene for a little piece in today's New York Times Travel Section. This was a extremely demanding assignment, calling for late nights (even a few all-nighters), bar hopping, and more than a few SangSom and sodas.
It was a tough job, but we've never shied away from the hard stories. Read the result here. Dave has posted a slide show of some of his favorite shots from the week on his photo blog, here.
On another note, if you don't follow EatingAsia on Twitter or Facebook you might not know that our mugs and this blog were spotlighted on CNN's food site Eatocracy. Read more than you ever needed to know about us and the birth of our blog baby here.
All of which puts me in a mind to convey a sincere Thank You to everyone reading. This space has never been a place for sentimental gushing, so I'll keep it short and sweet: Dave and I really, truly appreciate your support.
Happy Weekend!
What a great photo of the band - I feel like I was there with you. Happy Thailand!
