In lieu of the post I've been trying to finish for what seems like weeks (and may not finish for another, as we're currently in the USA visiting family), a couple of audio links.
Shortly after the NYTimes published our piece on markets and seasonal eating in the Turkish Aegean I received an email from Rod MLaughlin, host of the Azumano Travel Show on Portland, Oregon's KPAM Radio. He'd seen the article and wondered if I'd be interested in talking Turkey with him.
Of course I agreed. Rado interviews make me really nervous, but Rod is a great interviewer and as promised, edits to make his guests sound more intelligent than they are (recording took place at around midnight my time, so I was half asleep). My two segments aired in early June.
Here they are, one on the Black Sea in particular and the second on the Aegean and regional differences in Turkish cuisine -- just click the links below. Thanks Rod and KPAM!
Robyn, I don't know what I enjoy more, your great writing or the food photography, which is always amazing. Someday I hope to return to Penang and visit you guys.
