That Berkeley restaurant-cum-butchery is still going strong: Cafe Rouge on Fourth Street. Available cuts vary (it's a smallish counter at the back of the dining room), but it's always of top quality. Love their ground beef in particular ... the best in town ... as well as their thick brined pork chops.

Thanks Jonathan! That brings back memories, especially of their pork chops. Maybe we'll swing by for dinner next time we're in the Bay Area.
